“It was the first Christmas together, in our new home. I had given Erik his gift and he opened it. I was surprised at his reaction, he seemed almost nervous and became very quiet. When it was my turn to open, he handed me a big box. I opened it up and it was a very nice purse, but before I had the time to really admire it, he told me to unzip it. When I looked inside, I saw a small box. I opened the box up and there was nothing inside. Still a little confused, I looked over at Erik and he was down on one knee, looking up at me with tears in his eyes 🙂 At that moment, he made me the happiest I have ever been…”
Love you two, and I can’t wait to photograph your wedding!
James & Stacia’s engagement story:
“James and I have been in a long distance relationship between Minnesota and Oregon. I was staying with my parents at the time that James popped the question! James was in Denver for a business trip and told me that he would be flying back to Minnesota, when in reality he was on his way to Oregon to ask me to marry him! He had even pre-arranged for a tuxedo and a dozen red roses to be ready when he arrived. He met my parents at a nearby coffee shop to discuss how they were going to pull off the surprise. My parents told me that we were going out to dinner and that I needed to get dressed up. So, while I was getting ready, they snuck James into the living room where he stood waiting for me, roses in hand. I was asked to go get something from the car, and as I walked around the corner, there he was. He got down on one knee and said “Will you mar… ” and I jumped on him and said “yes!” I never did let him finish asking me! One of the most unique parts to our engagement was that James had designed the ring himself!”
